This month, as part of my initiative to work on finishing what I start, I decided to enter National Novel Writing Month. The challenge - to write 50 000 words of a brand-new novel in the month of November. That's an average of 1667 words per day. It sounds like a lot, unless you break it down and realize that 1667 words is about a 4 page essay. And I thought - I've got a good novel idea I've been meaning to write; I can do this. And today, I proved that I can! My final word count for NaNoWriMo is 50075, which I finished today! Here's my proof:
So, I did it! But my novel isn't done yet. I still have a fair ways to go before it will be done. So I'm going to participate in National Novel Finishing Month now. Let's see if I actually do get it done in December! But either way, the goal is now 30000 words in December, which is only 1000 words a day. I think I can handle it.
